Coach Sihle Ndlovu of EMEL said the game was not difficult for them; however, they missed many scoring opportunities.
“We tried our best to create chances, but unfortunately, we found ourselves playing to a draw,” said Ndlovu.
He said he does not have high hopes for the league because they have only one game left in the first leg against Linhill Celtic FC.
“We are number nine on the log table. I was expecting three points today, so we are hoping to collect the three points in our next fixture and start preparing for the second leg.”
Coach Kauthar Abrams of Eldos Ladies said the match was intense.
“We started off weak, but we came back better in the second half. We still have a lot to work on, especially communication, moving the ball quicker and playing better as a team,” said Abrams.
Despite the team’s position near the bottom of the log, Abrams remains optimistic ahead of the second round.

“We are still a developing team, and we face challenges with training, but we definitely want to get more goals, better results, and reach the finish line,” she added.
Ekasi Mighty Eagles Ladies maintain position nine on the log table.
Eldos Ladies team captain Jada Vanderplank hailed her teammates’ performance, saying the side showed notable improvement compared to previous matches.
“It was a very nice game. The girls improved, and it went better than expected. Our fitness levels are up, and our communication has improved, although there is still work to be done,” she said.
While satisfied with the point earned, Vanderplank believes the team is capable of more.
“I am happy with the one point, but I feel we could have done better. My hope is that we continue to grow as a team, improve our game and become better with every match,” she added.
